This phone has Symbian OS 9.1, S60 3rd edition and has 80 MB share memory. It has not smacked the markets but is ready to shake the world of mobiles soon with its simplicity and compact designs. Your stomach must be tickling and for that you are ready to get the brand and the model which is about to come in a few months time in the market. Just hold on! It’s the brand LG which is coming out with its new model KS10. From the design point of view, it looks like a copy of Toshiba 911T. The phone has the memory to keep around 40 received, missed and dialed calls each at one time. It has TFT screen with a 256 k colors display. This one has polyphonic type of Ring tones. The phone has the dimension of 103 x 51 x 18. 5 mm and weighs around 73 g. With 2.4 inches screen size, the total size of the mobile is 240 x 320 pixels.
Those who go for trends and want to set wallpapers according to the trends, they have reasons to cheer while buying this phone. As the handset provides that facility, wallpapers could be downloaded. Ring tones can also be downloaded. The phone provides SMS, EMS, MMS, and Email facilities. To be introduced in black color, this phone has got a MP3 player, java MIDP 2.0, an organizer, and a voice memo. Of course games would be available on this phone. But, what devoid this phone from getting much hype is the non presence of FM radios. Also there are no MP3 ring tones with this phone. But no doubt this one is good and has got an auto focus. So, LG KS10 is small and light for a smart phone, even though it lacks some basic and important features.
Here’s another stylish cell phone from LG which is not only stylish but quite impressive also. LG KU580 is soon going to be launched as the latest style series of LG. after the LG Chocolate, Prada and Shine series, this phone is launched to join the bandwagon. This phone is named as Hero, though I couldn’t find anything so heroic in this phone. This TriBand GSM phone is quite stunning and has a seamless finish; thanks to our innovators of LG. this is a slider phone with a screen on the front panel. This phone looks quite good and we had a good feel while touching its screen. This is a light weight model of LG with a weight of mere 73 grams. This phone has a 256k TFT display along with touch sensitive navigation keys with backlight. It has a 2 mega pixel camera which is not that superior quality but is a good accompaniment. It comes with a microSD TransFlash memory card with 45 MB of shared memory. This phone is GPRS and Bluetooth enabled. You get a 384 kbps 3G with this phone. But, there isn’t any Infrared or EDGE and it’s a little disappointing. One thing that disappointed us the most is the screen size of this handset. Everything about the design is good but the screen is really small. You get VGA video call camera and FM radio in LG KU580.
Presently this phone is a Vodafone exclusive and we don’t know what you should do to have a normal LG KU580. This phone is now available in black color only, which is both sober and attractive. But it’s little difficult for me to understand why LG is so hyper about the style of the phone. All the phones are having the same feature and only the style which is different. Hope LG will soon put more stress on features than styling.
LG KU970 is the latest stylish and glossy handset venture by LG. This is an addition to the LG’s Shine series of cell phones. Not long ago we reviewed the LG KE970 Shine phones. These phones are the prodigies of style and beauty. Like its brethren, LG KU970 has a sleek metallic body with a mirror like finish. These shinning phones look sleek and stunning. In our last review also, we had discussed the special finish of these handsets. KU970 is the 3G enabled version of the KE970 phone. Most of the features of both the cell phones are equal. Even the looks are also quite similar. KU970 is a slight modified version, hence it’s recommended.

It has a HSDPA 3.6 Mbits support. Like KE970, this phone also has a 2 mega pixel camera with auto focus. You get 512MB of integrated memory with this cell phone. This stylish gadget is Bluetooth 2.0 enables with A2DP stereo support. I found an interesting feature of this handset which is to change color of your phone number. There is an option where you can colorize the phone number while dialing. There is a preset palette from which you can choose your favorite color.
But, this handset has the same scroll key like its twin brother. This key makes the operations little difficult. There isn’t any office document viewer in KU970, unlike KE970 where you had office document viewer. The most distracting feature is the memory of this phone. Despite of all the features, this phone doesn’t have an expandable memory card slot, which was present there in KE970. If you can’t increase the memory then what is the need to have so many features. If style is what you breathe, carry and believe then this phone can be a gift for you from LG.
LG continues its ‘ohh so cool’ handset series with the LG KE 970 Shine. If you have used or seen the LG Chocolate then you can understand what style means for LG. This is a brand which I would recommend to all those stylish people who want to have a cell phone to become a style icon. It’s not about the style but LG has improved a lot in terms of functionality also. LG KE970 Shine is a perfect phone which shows the right blend of technology and style. This cool phone has a mirror finish and a metal body, which though follows the LG black series but has a little silver touch. The shine can even make you awestruck. KE970 has a perfect metal body with a mirror finish. This is a unisex phone. It has a solid body which can appeal the masculine taste and the silvery mirror finish can make any women happy to have it.
KE970 has a 2 mega pixel camera with auto focus and a QVGA display. You get a micro SD memory card slot and a number of other features with this handset. The style and appearance of this silvery wonder can surely grab your attention. I specially liked the silver body of KE970, it looked like a sleek metal sheet with the keys cut into it. This phone is both smart and trendy. Another unique feature of this phone is the navigation scroll. KE970 has a navigation scroll key at the centre of the phone. Though this scroll is much different from the mouse scroll, but this innovative experiment is quite annoying. This scroll key can give you thumb itching and tiring experience.
Overall LG KE970 is a good buy if you are style conscious. Besides the scrolling keys and other trifle details there isn’t anything that bad in this cell phone.
The LG Shine is set to be launched in early 2007, and looks like an excellent addition to the LG stable. At a time when unique releases seem to be few and far between, the look and feel of the LG Shine is something different, and sure to prove popular in the mass market.
Weighing in at a slightly heavier than normal 115 grams, with dimensions of 98 mm x 51 mm x 14 mm the phone offers access to a variety of networks including GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 and GPRS ensuring a great selection of connectivity worldwide. While the phone contains a Bluetooth and USB options, the none existence of EDGE, 3G, WLAN or Infrared data transfer functionality is a little disappointing
This latest addition to the LG range has a very striking shiny metallic outer casing which gives a classy, sharp look to the phone complimented by the mirror effect screen. The larger than normal screen is 2.2 inches from corner to corner, offering 240 x 320 pixel resolution and supporting a range of 256,000 colour variations to give a focused display which holds up well in direct sunlight.
There is also a vast array of messaging services including SMS, EMS, MMS and email, which are all complimented by the WAP 2.0xHTML browser, ensuring that you are contactable 24 hours a day 7 days a week - perfect for your mobile office. The LG Shine also includes a top of the range 2 megapixel camera which offers great functionality including standard pictures, video footage and also contains a flash for greater detail. The Li-Ion battery supports 72 hours standby and up to 3 hours talk time, which compares favourably with the vast majority of phones on the market.
The more traditional services include a 1000 entry phone book, which allows you to store more than just a number and name. There is also an extended dialled, received and missed call list which can retain the last 40 entries for each. While there is no dedicated memory slot on the LG Shine handset, the internal memory is some 1GB - more than enough for most usage.
Polyphonic ringtones, downloadable wallpapers, JAVA games and a quality number of music services including MP3, AAC, AAC+ and MPEG4 player all add to the all round attractions of the handset. While few mobiles will ever be able to compete with the famous LG Chocolate Phone, the LG Shine has the potential to be as popular in due course.
The LG KG225 is an entry-level clamshell mobile phone. It’s a featherweight mobile phone at a minute 70g, making it a vast mobile phone to plunge into your handbag or fit into a trousers pocket. It’s appealingly styled as well as refined in the midst of a elevated gloss black exterior containing minuscule particles that glitter in the light.
The LG KG225 mobile phone has a fundamental camera that you can utilize to take pictures when the mobile phone is opened. Photos can be corresponded to contacts from the phonebook, so that your friend’s photo becomes visible when they call you. There’s no video camera, and the screen is to a certain extent poor too, by means of the lowest resolutions around. There’s no peripheral screen, so you have to open the mobile phone to see who’s calling. The mobile phone does have good quality 40-voice polyphonic ring tones, but cannot handle MP3 ring tones. It does support Java games, which can be downloaded using the mobile phone’s WAP connection. Memory is very small, and connectivity is limited to a PC serial port, which can be used to transfer photos from the mobile phone to a PC. Battery life is below average.
The LG KG225 is a incredibly inexpensive mobile phone, as well as its specification reflects that. It’s a fine primary mobile phone that has the compensation of being extremely lightweight along with good appearance, but functionality is in reality limited. The Sony Ericsson K310i may not have the looks of the LG KG225, but propounds a lot more for your money.

Features of the LG KG225 include:
· VGA camera (0.3 megapixels) with 5x digital zoom
· Internal display: CSTN, 65,000 colours, 128 x 128 pixels
· 40-voice polyphonic ringtones
· Messaging: SMS, EMS, MMS
· Java games
· Photo Caller ID
· WAP 2.0
· Connectivity: PC serial port
· Vibration alert
· Triband
· Size: 85 x 45 x 22 mm
· Weight: 70g
· Battery standby: 200 hours
LG officially confirmed their forthcoming LG Prada mobile phone. Presenting a complete touch-control devise, the new Prada handset is the result from the collaboration among the Korean manufacturer along with the Prada design team.

Yesterday at the IF product design awards the LG Prada mobile was foremost seen designated as the LG KE850 Mobile Phone. The unique thing about it is the huge touch screen menu interface that eradicates the call for for a predictable keypad whatsoever. We cannot help but think about the recently announced iPhone by Apple, which runs OS X and has a greater screen. The LG KE850 Prada mobile phone on the other hand would be only 12 mm run with a Macromedia Flash user interface.
The Prada mobile phone by LG (KE850) would feature a large 3″ LCD touch screen display with yet unidentified resolution in addition to a 2 mega-pixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics as well as a micro SD memory card slot. The most fascinating thing about the display itself is that it’s made using the capacitive touch screen technology. What this means is that the screen uses electro-conductivity to sense your touch - much like the touch pad on the popular LG Chocolate mobile phone. This technology is created to be usable with fingers only, so the use of a stylus is out of the question whatsoever.
The Prada mobile phone by LG will be available with prices starting from 600 EUR in the UK, France, Germany and Italy as of late February 2007, followed by countries in Asia such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore from late March 2007. The Korean version of the mobile phone is scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2007.

It seems as though LG have been working very hard on their next mobile phone offering as rumours about the new LG KE850 swarm around the internet. The company are not very keen to release much detail about the phone as yet, and the exact specifications are being kept under wraps. What is certain though is the fact that the phone itself does not have a keypad, as the screen is touch sensitive and dictates the navigation system for the user.
While the company have a reputation for innovative designs, the LG KE850 phone has taken their offering one step further and stolen a march on their competitors. Before the phone has even been released it has won an award at the recent Mobile Phone Industry meeting in Germany.
The design of the phone is a rather traditional “Candy-Bar” with a very very slim look to the handset. In a similar format to the award winning “Chocolate “ phone, the outer casing is black in colour, offering a polished finish. As you would expect with the keyboard taken away from this model, the LG KE850 is dominated by the enlarged touch sensitive screen.
While the news to date is fairly limited, it seems that the LG publicity machine is starting to crank up with subtle details expected prior to the official launch. Expect a blaze of glory when the phone is released, as LG are putting a lot of hope into the LG KE850 model, as their leading model in a very competitive market lace.
In a separate development, which may well be held back until after the launch of the LG KE850, LG have announced a joint venture with Prada to design and produce the most fashionable and desirable of handsets. With these two big names behind it, the new phone (whatever type it may be) looks certain to be successful.
More news to follow on the LG KE850 and new Prada issue in due course.
At first glance the LG KG200 looks like a very basic phone, but the design of the handset deflects from some solid services and functionality available with this model. The handset design itself is a basic “Candy-Bar” shape, in black with silver trim on the navigation bar. This is however a multi-media phone which is targeted at the more fashion conscious youth market. The phone itself is powered by a 820 mAh Li-Ion battery, offering some 300 hours standby time and 3.5 hours talk time. With dimension of 99 mm x 44 mm x 15 mm, and weighing just 85 grams, you can start to see the attraction to the youth market.
The phone is dominated by the TFT display screen which is 1.8 inches from diagonal, and offers pixel resolution of 128 x 160. As is essential for the youth market, the LG KG200 has a useful 1.3 megapixel camera which offers a range of pixel resolutions, up to 1280 x 1024. Able to handle both still photography and video clips, the camera also offers a useful x4 zoom option for those close up shots. When used in conjunction with the MMS messaging service, it is possible to forward picture files to other phone users. As well as the MMS format, the phone also supports basic SMS, which is so popular in the youth market.
The LG KG200 offers a range of connectivity options taking in, GPRS, WAP (internet access), Bluetooth and PC Synchronisation via a USB connector. While there is no requirement for the range of connectivity offered in business orientated phones, this handset offers perhaps more than the youth market would demand. The phone book service offers the ability to retain up to 1000 contact records, with each record allowing you to store up to 4 phone numbers, email address, etc.
As well as the above functionality, the LG KG200 also has multi media services including melody composer, FM radio, polyphonic ringtones and JAVA games, with the opportunity of downloading further music offerings via the internet browser. The handset also has a personal organiser in built, with clock, alarm, and dictaphone options to name a few.
The services on the LG KG200 have been adjusted from earlier models so that they are attractive to the youth market. This is a slightly different market for LG although they seem to have done their homework on this one, and while the design of the handset is nothing spectacular, it gives the intended audience what they require.
