HTC is again in the glare of publicity in the mobile world, with its announcement of launching a new model P 6300, very soon. The mobile features the same as xda 2i, with a few new extra features. The resolution seems to be quite old, common HTC, 3. 5” display and only 320X 240 pixels. With no HSCSD, EDGE, 3G, and Infrared Port, the new mobile handset does not seem to get the mass attraction. The whole concept of making this phone is not a departure from the past HTC products and design wise also, it’s not much attractive. In the silver color, the new design has card slot SD with 128 MB on RAM and 256 MB on ROM, unlike that of newly launched Motorola RAZR2 V8 mobile. With WLAN connectivity, the HTC new model has the facility to avail Wi- Fi 802.11 b/g. Features in the camera of the mobile constitute Pocket Office that includes Word, Outlook, Excel, and PDF viewer.

Apart from, there are java MIDP 2.0, MP3/ AAC Player, video/ audio album, and voice memo in the new handset introduced by the HTC. With dimensions 130 x 70x 18.8 mm, together with weight of 200 g, the new HTC P 6300 is much heavier than newly introduced Motorola RAZR2 V8 and V9 phones. There is Bluetooth v 2.0 facility in the phone along with a mini USB. The handset features OS with Microsoft Windows mobile 5.0 pocket pc. Also, there is browser WAP 2.0/ X HTML in the mobile. So, we can say that there is nothing new about the phone, all these facilities can be found in any of the PDA phone available in the mobile’s market. Surely, new designs and better hardwares are needed in the HTC set of mobile phones.
