LG Prada Mobile Phone

Yesterday at the IF product design awards the LG Prada mobile was foremost seen designated as the LG KE850 Mobile Phone. The unique thing about it is the huge touch screen menu interface that eradicates the call for for a predictable keypad whatsoever. We cannot help but think about the recently announced iPhone by Apple, which runs OS X and has a greater screen. The LG KE850 Prada mobile phone on the other hand would be only 12 mm run with a Macromedia Flash user interface.

The Prada mobile phone by LG (KE850) would feature a large 3″ LCD touch screen display with yet unidentified resolution in addition to a 2 mega-pixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics as well as a micro SD memory card slot. The most fascinating thing about the display itself is that it’s made using the capacitive touch screen technology. What this means is that the screen uses electro-conductivity to sense your touch - much like the touch pad on the popular LG Chocolate mobile phone. This technology is created to be usable with fingers only, so the use of a stylus is out of the question whatsoever.

The Prada mobile phone by LG will be available with prices starting from 600 EUR in the UK, France, Germany and Italy as of late February 2007, followed by countries in Asia such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore from late March 2007. The Korean version of the mobile phone is scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2007.
