The Motorola A728 mobile phone is a clamshell Tri-band phone announced last year but definitely worth a mention. It weighs about 120grams which is on the heavier side ofcourse and measures close to 101 x 53 x 21mm. One of the cool features of the Motorola A728 mobile phone is the touch screen and the transparent flap.

The Motorola A728 mobile phone has a 65k colors TFT screen with a display resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The phone comes with a special handwriting recognition software and speech recognition software for English and Chinese. On the downside there is no memory card slot, so it has only 8 mb of shared memory. The Motorola A728 mobile phone runs on a stable Linux operating system for mobile phones. It has a ordinary camera which can take stills at 352 x 288 pixels. The Motorola A728 mobile phone comes with GPRS and Bluetooth as good transfer options. There are also other features like an Infrared port and a Usb port for connecting to your computer. The Motorola A728 mobile phone comes with a HTML browser and along with the PDA style of the phone it is quite comfortable to browse the web.

The battery life of the Motorola A728 mobile phone is about 3 hours talktime and 200+ hours of standby.
