Sharp GX40 Mobile Phone

The Sharp GX40 Mobile Phone is a Tri-band clamshell phone from Sharp which works with 900/1800/1900 GSM networks. The phone was announced last year but took time for it to release due to some FCC approvals, but it did come out finally. The Sharp GX40 Mobile Phone weighs about 98grams and measures 93 x 46 x 22 mm.

The Sharp GX40 Mobile Phone has a 256k color TFT screen with a resolution of 240×320 pixels. You can set Polyphonic/Mp3/AAC files as your ringtones. The phone comes with GPRS and a WAP browser to go along with it.

The Sharp GX40 Mobile Phone has a 1.3Megapixel camera which can take still photos at 1280×960 pixels and QCIF videos too. The phone comes with Java MDIP2.0, FM Radio, T9 dictionary, a Video player for the playback of your recorded motion files. It also has a Mp3/AAC music player. There is also a miniSD card slot which cant take cards upto 512mb.

The Sharp GX40 Mobile Phone has Bluetooth, Infrared and also a Usb port for data transfer. The battery life of the phone is pretty average at 4 hours talktime and 280+ hours of standby. The phone costs about $300 which is pretty expensive for the limited features it offers.
