The Nokia 6282 is a mobile phone which works for both UMTS 1900, and GSM 850/1800/1900. Although the data transfer using 3G at 384kbps is specially for the networks in the United States only. The mobile phone was announced earlier this year by Nokia and the price for which it will be available is not known.

The mobile phone is similar to the Nokia 6280 mobile phone which is also a slider mobile phone. The Nokia 6282 mobile phone weighs about 115grams and is not that heavy for a decent sized mobile phone. It has a 320 x 240 display resolution, providing 256K colors. The mobile phone surprisingly has only a 1Megapixel camera which is quite below the norm for such high-end phones. The Nokia 6282 mobile phone has upto 10MB internal memory and a provision to add more with the miniSD card. Data networks such as GPRS, EDGE, 3G ( at 384kbps ) are supported with this mobile phone.

To transfer data from your mobile phone to the pc or even mobile phone to mobile phone there is Bluetooth, Infrared and a Usb port on the phone. It also features the ever so popular Nokia game ‘Snake’ this time in 3D. You can download many more games from the Nokia sites if you have enabled GPRS. The battery stands to live for 5hours on one charge of talktime while it can take about 200hours of standby which is definitely poor in comparison to other similar type mobile phones.
